The Surplus Exchange also shares a unique partnership with some area agencies serving the vocational needs of persons with disabilities. The facility and aspects of the daily operations of the Exchange are open for such agencies to conduct vocational training and occupational assessments for their consumers. These vocational programs provide a variety of benefits to everyone involved. Persons with disabilities receive the benefits of a friendly environment in which to learn new skills. Persons without disabilities learn about the disabled and their capabilities. And the daily operations of the Exchange benefit from the valuable assistance provided by these vocational consumers.
