Surplus Exchange also offers new computer systems, using new state-of-the-art
components, specially priced for charities only! These systems are built
to your exact specifications.


Furniture, Equipment and Supplies

Three of our six floors are dedicated to business furniture,equipment,
fixtures and supplies. On any given day we have the following equipment
in stock and on display:

What the General Public Can Buy

Other then new computer systems, new peripherals, new components, refurbished
computer systems requested by charities and charity want list items – all
items are available to both general public end-users and general public
brokers. Sales to the general public help fund our operation by supporting
our environmental efforts, keeping our prices lower to charities and funding
our educational and human service programs.


Brokers and Thrift Stores Welcome

When it comes to electronics, we are like an auto salvage yard. We collect
and make available 1000’s of miscellaneous electronics, parts and components.
We ship locally and nationally. Give us a call!

Many local thrift stores and furniture brokers purchase items from Surplus
Exchange for resale. We do the same for you!


Learn & Earn Computer Education
Programs

Learn and Earn is a program designed to support the student’s educational
experience by allowing them to build, and keep for their own, a computer
for educational use. Besides receiving the built computer, the benefits
of the Learn and Earn Program are found in four basic areas: educational,
social, psychological and environmental awareness.

This fall, Surplus Exchange will be offering two new Computer Education
Programs:

  • Together Tech, based on the same fundamentals as Learn and Earn, this
    program is designed to teach a family how to build, repair and operate
    a computer.
  • NPO’s Only, also like Learn and Earn, but for Nonprofit Organizations
    and their staff, using new parts and components. The goal here is to get
    a new computer to a NPO as inexpensively as possible and to minimize user
    error through hands on experience.


We Need Volunteers

The Surplus Exchange collects and processes over 6,600 tons of business
equipment each year. Volunteers are always needed to help us accomplish
our Mission Statement. Volunteers are needed in these areas:

 Public Relations  Computer Repair Computer Education 
Warehouse Work   Office Work Public Speaking 

We can also accommodate groups of individuals from schools, churches
or other organizations for special projects.
