This Friday is America Recycles day. Here at Surplus Exchange, we are excited to celebrate! If you bring us your e-waste to recycle this week, we’ll give you 10% off your ENTIRE furniture and electronics purchase. While America Recycles Day is a great time to recycle your e-waste, you don’t have to wait to recycle. We’re open all year Tuesday through Saturday, 9AM-5PM. We realize that you have many choices in regards to e-waste recycling, and we sincerely hope that you entrust Surplus Exchange with the job.
This trust is not something that we take lightly. Our organization is dedicated to making sure that your confidential information stays confidential. We achieve this goal by only reselling computers that have undergone full data wipes and by having oversight of all material until it is fully broken down to the commodity level.
If you recycle with Surplus Exchange, you can rest assured that we will never send your e-waste overseas to be broken down in third world countries. This not only ensures you(r) privacy/safety, but also the safety of many women and children, who often work in harsh conditions breaking down parts in order to recover the valuable metals.
One of our biggest goals is to help the Kansas City community whenever we can. Donations help us provide
computers/furniture/supplies to teachers, students in need and other nonprofits in the area. We gave computers to families of the Armed Forces, so they were able stay connected with their loved ones overseas. We also have a program called Learn and Earn. This program teaches children without the means to buy a computer how to build one. Then they get to keep the computer that they built. We also set up computer facilities in senior centers and provided their members with basic computer classes.
